SUMMARY:Life Architecture - collaborative learning series
DESCRIPTION:Register here\n\n\n\nLiving our lives to fit our dreams is a challenge. Many of us are too busy and too caught up in the day to day details to find space to think about what we truly want or what we would change.  \n\n\n\nBy taking this course you are making that space – working out ways to move from where we are now in our lives to where we want to be. It invites us to design something for ourselves in a collaborative\, supportive learning environment.  \n\n\n\nThese changes are different for each one of us – maybe you want to make changes relating to your work\, to relationships and friendships\, or activism\, or just find more time for yourself and the things you care about most. Life Architecture is full of tools that can be adapted in many ways to design your own plan.   \n\n\n\nEach session is three hours long (with breaks!)\, every Sunday afternoon for four weeks in a row\, made up of reflection activities\, discussions\, food for thought and…yes\, a little bit of homework. \n\n\n\nIn designing this learning series\, we know that each of us experiences the world differently. We try to be as inclusive\, relevant and safe as possible\, but we know that this will always be a work in progress. All activities are by consent – you will never be pressured to do something you don’t want to. That said\, you will be invited to participate in ways that might stretch and challenge you! \n\n\n\nWho is this course for?\n\n\n\nActivities are often interactive and conversation-based\, so it is important to have an open\, collaborative\, and respectful mindset. We are committed to anti-oppression and centring people who might not have access to these kinds of resources due to the many barriers in our society. If the spots fill up\, we will prioritise those people.  \n\n\n\nHow much does this course cost?\n\n\n\nThe ticket prices of the paying attendees go towards paying for our facilitators\, platform\, and design time. Tickets for this course will be offered on a sliding scale from €80 – €200 plus VAT (so €95.20 – €238) for the four weeks. If you can pay more\, you will help fund the course for those who can’t. \n\n\n\nWe request that you pay in advance for the whole course and we’ll send out payment details once we receive your registration. \n\n\n\nWe strongly encourage people with less financial resources to apply for this course and we have three no-cost spots available. Email us for details: hello@aequa.cc \n\n\n\nOther details: \n\n\n\nSpace is limited to 16 spots.  \n\n\n\nThe workshops are taught in English on Zoom. \n\n\n\nWe believe that you’ll get the most out of this course if you can attend all four weeks of the series. That said\, we know how busy and unpredictable life can be. If you can’t complete some homework or need to suddenly skip a week\, we will understand. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Dates:\n\n\n\nAll workshops take place 14h-17h (2pm-5pm) Berlin time (UTC+1) \n\n\n\nSUN MAY 2nd🎯 MODULE 1: “CLARIFYING MY PRIORITIES”Rediscovering what’s most important for you with activities to reflect on your values and goals. \n\n\n\nSUN MAY 9th🏖 MODULE 2: “IMAGINING MY POSSIBILITIES”Exploring options for different parts of your life\, and checking how well your plans line up with your values and goals. \n\n\n\nSUN MAY 16th🚧 MODULE 3: “TESTING OUT MY OPTIONS”Narrowing down your possibilities; learning to use research to test how well your plans may work and what feels right for you. \n\n\n\nSUN MAY 23rd🏗 MODULE 4: “BUILDING MY ACTION PLAN”Deciding on steps to move from design to reality. Setting a plan for the next steps.

SUMMARY:Freelance Peer Support Group: Tame your finances!
DESCRIPTION:(Deutsch unten) \n\n\n\nFreelance Peer Support Group: Tame Your Finances! \n\n\n\nTuesday\, May 11th 2021\, 7pm-9pm Berlin time (UTC+1) \n\n\n\nOn Zoom \n\n\n\nJoin us for the second meeting of our Freelance Peer Support Group! We will be tackling the important topic of finances as a freelancer – how we can best manage them\, hone positive mindsets and any blocks we might have around this theme. \n\n\n\nThis workshop will be held in English. \n\n\n\nWHAT IS A PEER SUPPORT GROUP? \n\n\n\nPeer Support Groups are a chance for a group of individuals with a common trait (in this case being freelance or self-employed) to collaborate to solve common problems. We will be able to voice our current challenges\, and then be giving each other feedback\, advice and ideas to help us conquer them. This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise if you’ve been in the freelance game for a while\, or of course for people starting out and getting to grips with managing their finances and money mindsets as a self-employed person. \n\n\n\nThis is our second meeting in our newly founded Freelance Peer Support Group. Our aim is to co-organise these meetings as a group\, so anyone is welcome to step up as a facilitator. It’s a valuable experience which adds up to the skillset of anyone who’s freelancing or working remotely often and we will teach you how to do it. \n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\n\n\nWe’re going to be having a structured conversation led by facilitators where everyone can share either their struggles or experiences around managing finances as a freelancer\, and we’ll then brainstorm some solutions to share. It’s all about finding inspiration\, sharing knowledge and taking positive action. There will be a 10-minute access break in the middle of the session. \n\n\n\nWHO IS THE FREELANCE PEER SUPPORT GROUP FOR? \n\n\n\naequa Peer Support Groups give folks with certain affinities (for example: similar interests\, challenges or experiences) the chance to offer mutual support in the form of peer-to-peer mentorship\, feedback\, advice and discussion. This also gives a forum to wrestle with how those with shared challenges or advantages can help to build a more equitable future for all. \n\n\n\nWHO CAN JOIN? \n\n\n\nThe Freelance Peer Support Group is for Freelancers or Self-Employed people\, or anyone interested in becoming so. \n\n\n\nThis meetup is for anyone with an open\, respectful\, and collaborative mindset. \n\n\n\nPrior attendance to a PSG meetup or aequa event is not required. \n\n\n\nRSVP here to join and get the Zoom link. https://airtable.com/shrrYNxIUbMJNWVUd \n\n\n\nYOUR FACILITATORS \n\n\n\nAlexandra Koken (she/her) has been working as a freelance copywriter for 1.5 years. Her favourite things about freelancing is constantly experimenting to find a sustainable and happy balance between work and life\, and her least-favourite thing about freelancing is when she’s taking notes on a call and not a single pen works. \n\n\n\nMagdalena Klein (she/her; them/they) has been freelancing in the field of market research\, communication management and marketing consulting. Her favourite thing about freelancing is variety of projects she had opportunity to work on\, while learning new things from each project. Her least favourite thing is keeping track of her expenses. \n\n\n\nABOUT AEQUA \n\n\n\naequa is a community for social equity — a network of people united by our shared vision of a world in which everyone can thrive. We co-create spaces for mutual support\, collective empowerment\, and collaborative action. With diverse experiences and perspectives\, we are brought together by our desire to learn\, and to share what we have learned on our individual journeys. Together\, we explore both our individual potential and our collective power. \n\n\n\nDEUTSCH \n\n\n\nFreelance Selbsthilfegruppe (Peer Support Group): Finde Tolle Kunden!
