SUMMARY:“Eat ‘N Talk Series” #1 by The Momentum Table
DESCRIPTION:In the Majority world\, every aspect of community life happens around food. This is how news\, information\, or opinions are shared and discussed\, may they be happy\, intense\, or controversial. In this same spirit\, the “Eat ‘n Talk Series” by The Momentum Table want to open conversations with and among African\, Afro-diasporic and Afro-descendant communities\, off the beaten tracks of white and Western readings of our realities. \n\n\n\nIn a perspective of unpacking the rich and complex historiographies of the African continent\, Namareg and Jihad are discussing Land & Identity in Northern Africa in the first event of the series. An open conversation with participants wants to look into power dynamics governing access to Land and dispossession from it\, in the past until today. We want to share our knowledges and create a space centering perspectives and stories in the shadows of colonial and hegemonic discourses. We want to explore similarities and differences in the evolution of Land politics in Northern Africa. We want to observe the Northern part of Africa as a space of movement and shared histories\, moving beyond the colonial divide between Africa North and South of the Sahara\, wrongly perceiving one of the largest deserts in the World as an idle space. \n\n\n\nDuring this participative conversation with all of you\, we will share a welcome drink and a gourmet 2 course meal prepared by the talented Private Chef\, while Namareg and Jihad will animate the discussion with input from their perspectives on areas of current Sudan and Morocco. \n\n\n\nThe “Eat ‘n Talk Series” conversations are meant to be a safer space. We envision this evening to be as enjoyable and delicious as informative and respectful. It is an exclusive private space for African\, Afro-diasporic and Afro-descendant BIPoCs. Please be weary of your positioning when participating. White persons (from inside and outside of Africa) and persons from an exclusively European descent are asked to refrain from participating. \n\n\n\n* Ticket price is 18€. If you cannot afford it\, please contact us and we can discuss a reduced price based on our capacities. If you can afford to donate more\, it will allow participants with reduced income to participate as well. \n\n\n\n*Corona rules: All participants are asked to bring a negative Covid-19 test delivered on the day of the event. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this is a pre-registration only : \n\n\n\nWe would like to keep our events running\, but due to corona we need to limit the number of participants to keep each other safe. \n\n\n\nFill in tis form as a first step. When your registration is processed\, you will receive an email with further details. Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to meeting you! \n\n\n\nhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/136_gW8JjsXZ7Bp1MxU5j8xgae2Ef_-z92wZsIEzTx2o/edit \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nImportant : \n\n\n\nBring proof of an up-to-date negative test (15.01.2022)\, this applies also to vaccinated people. The E-ticket and certificate have to be on the same identification must be shown at the entrance .Visitors without a current test result or proof cannot be admitted.Light Masks will be provided to be worn all the time of the talk in queuing situations\, and at the toilets. Those who do not comply with these rules will be invited to leave.Tickets won’t be available at the door and are not refundable. We strongly discourage attending the event without an advance ticket purchased previously online.Being in possession of a ticket does not guarantee entry\, we reserve the right to deny the entrance\, refunds will be processed when this happens. If you should observe or experience an inappropriate situation\, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the The MomentumTable Team\, or our door crew.\n\n\n\nAny Additional Information ? Feel free to contact us \n\n\n\nContact momentumtable@tutanota.com or @momentumtableee on Instagram. \n\n\n\nThank you very much for your interest! \n\n\n\nThe MomentumTable Team

SUMMARY:Equity reading circle - January
DESCRIPTION:aequa Equity Book Circle is a space dedicated to learning\, connecting\, exchanging\, and engaging with the social movement work we believe in. We come to this circle because there is a lot we don’t know\, and exploring together feels rewarding in a special way. We also come to this circle because we don’t want our individual & communal knowledge gaps to remain an excuse that stops us from being active. \n\n\n\nOur work aims at sharing resources\, testing structures\, reaffirming motivations\, visiting history\, finding focus\, encouraging curiosity. In the past\, we’ve dug into the subjects such as: climate justice\, queer & feminist approaches to movement work\, materialist “spirituality” for responding to change\, stories of refugee women in Germany\, education as a tool for liberation\, poetry attending to the postcolonial world. A central agreement we have is based on mutual aid: we aim to make room for everyone’s fluctuating capacity\, so that we each alternately feed and get fed by the group’s energy. \n\n\n\nWant to join? Email us at  hello@aequa.cc to be added to our list. \n\n\n\nOur current book is Revolting Prostitutes: The Fight For Sex Workers’ Rights by Molly Smith and Juno Mac

SUMMARY:Un:seen Intermediate DJ Peer-Exchange Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first edition of the Un:seen x aequa Intermediate DJ Peer-Exchange Workshop! \n\n\n\nThis meetup will be held in English.THE SIGN UP FORM IS OPEN!https://airtable.com/shrUkKA0vXvQV7zh1The deadline for applications is Monday\, January 10th at CET 23:59.We look forward to reading your applications! While persons of any gender are welcome to apply\, please be mindful that this is a space primarily centered for people of marginalized gender backgrounds to be able to feel safe in developing their arts and career. \n\n\n\nWHAT IS THE Intermediate DJ Peer-Exchange Workshop? \n\n\n\nThis January\, we’re inviting intermediate DJs for a peer-led knowledge exchange and skill-sharing event. The motivation behind this was that\, while there are numerous beginners’ DJ workshops and resources\, once you’re comfortable with mixing on your equipment of choice\, there are not many public resources on where to go from there. We hope to address various topics ranging from mixing and musical knowledge to community building and career development – the exact topics will be determined by you\, the participants! We believe in the power of learning and growing with each other as part of a community\, and giving back by offering support to those on a journey to improve their craft\, and we think that this workshop is a great place to start. \n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\n\n\nWe will co-ordinate a variety of sessions covering different aspects of being an emerging artist. This is a great opportunity to learn from fellow peers in the Berlin music scene and to ask any questions about improving technique and style in a non-judgemental and accepting space. \n\n\n\nThe workshop sessions can take various formats\, including a mix of presentations\, round table discussions\, ask-me-anythings\, and some hands-on sessions with CDJs. We are currently searching to host a few special guest mentors that have more experience – stay tuned for more info!Unfortunately we do not have resources to host a hybrid digital/in-person event for this first edition\, but we hope to be able to consider further access options in the future. \n\n\n\nMUTUAL RESPECT AT AEQUA EVENTS:https://aequa.cc/aequa-events-info/ \n\n\n\nHYGIENE CONCEPT AT AEQUA CC:https://aequa.cc/hygiene-concept/
