DESCRIPTION:[Deutsch unten]\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, August 1st\, 13:00-18:00\, aequa is joining AUSUFERN\, a festival hosted by and at our neighbours at Ufer Studios in Wedding. \n\n\n\naequa will be organising a few main actions for the day: \n\n\n\nAbout aequa: \n\n\n\naequa is an community for social equity. Our Community Centre in Berlin Wedding is a home to an intersectional community united by our dreams of a world in which everyone can thrive. With diverse experiences and perspectives\, we are brought together by our desire to learn\, to share\, to support and show up for each other. Together\, we put our dreams into practice and strive to create something better for all of us. \n\n\n\nEmpowerment Screen Printing Station \n\n\n\nBring your old clothes or tote bags to print on at our screen printing station! We will provide the designs and the inks\, and show you how the screen printing works to print your chosen designs. Please bring only smooth and flat polyester or cotton fabrics to print on. We will also have a grab-bag of use clothes you can choose from! \n\n\n\nNeighborhood Meet-and-Greet \n\n\n\nJoin us for a one-hour session to get to know your neighbors a bit better. We will have some tables set up with a set of questions you can use for conversation\, in English and German\, to get to know the people who live nearby. Telling our stories is one way that we can build a stronger community and connect across our differences. \n\n\n\nInfotable from the aequa community \n\n\n\nLearn more about what is happening the aequa Community Centre at Exerzierstr. 14 — just around the corner from Ufer Studios. Bitte bringe nur glatte und flache Polyester- oder Baumwollstoffe zum Bedrucken mit. Wir werden auch eine Wundertüte mit Gebrauchskleidung haben\, aus der du wählen kannst! \n\n\n\nNachbarschaftliches Meet-and-Greet \n\n\n\nKomm zu einer einstündigen Sitzung\, um deine Nachbarn besser kennenzulernen. Wir werden einige Tische mit einem Satz von Fragen aufstellen\, die du für Gespräche nutzen kannst\, auf Englisch und Deutsch\, um die Menschen\, die in der Nähe wohnen\, kennen zu lernen. Berlin \n\n\n\nFor the introduction of Studio EXIST.13 into the queer / BIPOC community and the Wedding neighborhood\, the inhabitants of the EXIT are organizing a bunch of popup events\, the first of which is a spontaneous exhibition that was the accumulation of 10 hours of creative and explosive outlet. The exhibition is still going so you can take a look when you stop by for our upcoming POP\, which is taking place in the space opposite the EXIT. Last time we prepared food for the souls\, this time we’re preparing food for our bodily vessels\, with the popup kitchen led by the Palestinian activist and artist Najwa Ahmed. \n\n\n\nWe also have something for the spirit\, once the sun starts descending MARXUS CORABSI will emerge from the shadows to take us down the lane of our lifetimes\, they’ll perform private Tarot reading sessions for the seekers of self-knowledge.

We will be able to voice our challenges\, and then be giving each other feedback\, advice and ideas to help us conquer them. This is a great opportunity to help someone struggling with the same challenges or share how you overcame them. \n\n\n\nThis is the pilot meeting in our newly founded Neurodivergent Peer Support Group. Our aim is to co-organise these meetings as a group and maintain its horizontal structure\, so anyone is welcome to step up as a facilitator. No prior experience with facilitation is needed. It’s a valuable skill for anyone and we will teach you how to do it in the safe space of the group. \n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\n\n\nWe’ll kick off the the group by having a structured conversation led by facilitators where everyone can introduce themselves\, and share either their struggles or experiences around living their life as a neurodivergent individual. We’ll then brainstorm possible ways how to support each other and decide on the future development and structure of this group. There will be a 10-minute access break in the middle of the session. \n\n\n\nWHO IS THE PEER SUPPORT GROUP FOR? \n\n\n\naequa Peer Support Groups give folks with certain affinities (for example: similar interests\, challenges or experiences) the chance to offer mutual support in the form of peer-to-peer mentorship\, feedback\, advice and discussion. This also gives a forum to wrestle with how those with shared challenges or advantages can help to build a more equitable future for all. \n\n\n\nWHO CAN JOIN? \n\n\n\nThe Neurodivergent Peer Support Group is for anyone who is neurodivergent regardless of official diagnoses or lack thereof. We will be tackling the important topic of landing recurring revenue\, honing positive mindsets and any blocks we might have around this theme. \n\n\n\nThis workshop will be held in English. \n\n\n\nWHAT IS A PEER SUPPORT GROUP? \n\n\n\nPeer Support Groups are a chance for a group of individuals with a common trait (in this case being freelance or self-employed) to collaborate to solve common problems. We will be able to voice our current challenges\, and then be giving each other feedback\, advice and ideas to help us conquer them. This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise if you’ve been in the freelance game for a while\, or of course for people starting out and getting to grips with managing their finances and money mindsets as a self-employed person. \n\n\n\nThis is our second meeting in our newly founded Freelance Peer Support Group. Our aim is to co-organise these meetings as a group\, so anyone is welcome to step up as a facilitator. It’s a valuable experience which adds up to the skillset of anyone who’s freelancing or working remotely often and we will teach you how to do it. \n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS \n\n\n\nWe’re going to be having a structured conversation led by facilitators where everyone can share either their struggles or experiences around managing finances as a freelancer\, and we’ll then brainstorm some solutions to share.
