Book Swap is back for a new edition \u2013 hurray!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring any printed matter you’d like to get rid of \u2013 all kinds, sizes, shapes, conditions, and languages welcome \u2013 and hopefully walk away with some new reading material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will be a fundraiser for our beloved aequa Community Centre, which is in danger of closing due to the huge financial blow of the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to current Covid-19 health regulations, this Book Swap is limited to TEN people. Please register for the event only if you can come. If necessary, there will be a waiting list and you’ll be informed if a spot opens up<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can bring a stack of books to swap or arrive empty-handed \u2013 it’s all fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For every book you take home, we kindly ask a sliding scale donation of 3\u20ac-9\u20ac. All funds raised will go directly to paying aequa’s bills and ensuring this vital space can continue serving the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, please follow health and hygiene guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible \u2013 stay home if you feel unwell, wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth, wash your hands frequently, and keep a distance of 1.5m from others at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A selection of beverages (tea, coffee, cola, mat\u00e9, etc.) ice cream, and other little snacks will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, Book Swap events have raised almost 300\u20ac for Books Beyond Bars UK \u2013 a collective of volunteers who send books and other educational materials, free of charge, to incarcerated LGBTQIA+ people across the United Kingdom. Normalerweise befinden sich Blumen und Pflanzen in dem Space, der von verschiedenen Personengruppen und gelegentlich auch von Hunden genutzt wird. Daher k\u00f6nnen wir leider nicht garantieren, dass der Raum duft- oder allergenfrei ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The space is **not** wheelchair accessible at this time. We are looking into solutions to make both spaces wheelchair accessible.The main event space is reached via two (2) steps, each approximately 20 cm tall. Inside, the restrooms can only be reached only by going down a staircase to the basement level.<\/p>\n\n\n
